Iditarod Presentation by Warren Palfrey

This is a preliminary announcement of an upcoming event sponsored by Quesnel’s Gold Rush Trail Dog Sled Association.

On Wednesday June 18th, at 7:00 p.m. in the main lodge at Troll Ski Resort on Highway 26 west of Quesnel B.C., Warren Palfrey, a top finisher in this year’s (2008) Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race will be giving a talk about his experiences in this year’s incredible race. The official documentary video of the 2008 race will also be premiered at this event.

Warren is from Yellowknife N.W.T. and has competed very successfully in a number of major sled dog events throughout western and northern North America, including the Wyoming International Pedigree Stage Stop, Montana’s Race to the Sky and Yellowknife’s Diavik 150 Canadian Championship Dog Derby Warren has competed in and finished the Iditarod twice, he and his wife Kate operate Northern Star Kennels in Yellowknife.

This will be a very special event and this much-anticipated presentation is open to all members of the community. There will be no charge for this event.
