Hi,

I need some input as whether this might be something non-competitive mushers would be interested in. It would be based very much like the trail riding programs with the American Quarter Horse Assoc. and the American Paint Horse assoc., but tailored to dog mushing.

This program would be affiliated with MUSHING USA, so membership would be required. There would also be a fee for joining the program. Again this is all in it's infantcy, and is a work in progress.

What I am thinking since I am part of the committee, is that we award patches for mileage driven by dog team. We hope to get sponsors that will provide either prizes or coupons for discounts on their products for certain levels achieved in this program. The ulitimate goal is to achieve a jacket with the MUSA logo embroideried on it to display achievement patches.

So, now my question is , is anyone interested in something like this??? Again, this is in development, and I urge you to look at the horse organization web sites and look at their programs. I need input from you, if I am to proceed this with commitee endeavor. If you think it's a waste of time, please tell me. If you think you like to see something like this happen, I NEED your input. Any suggestions, recommendations, ideas, etc are welcome.
