About

SnowPack Siberian Huskies!

My husband & I live in the Southern Interior of British Columbia, Canada…not the first place you think of when talking in terms of sled dog habitat. That said we do live at an altitude of 1400m so if anyone is going to be the recipient of snow around here, it would be us! We live with 16 purebred Siberian Huskies and one Sibe/Shepard X who thinks she is a sled dog!

We operate Tunkwa Provincial Park in the summer and watch over the area in the winter. Perfect occupation for our dog sledding addition. The Provincial Park itself is over 5300 hectares in size and is a nature preserve that is home to an amazing array of wildlife…..the wild horses of the Highland valley are our favourite.

We live in a Ranger’s cabin that acts like a big den for our Sibes. Sometimes we are allowed in ;)

Yes, we have a great vacuum and No, we don’t mind fur in our food :)

It sounds like a musher’s paradise….Hope to possibly get up there in the next year or so! I was talking to Laurie (nakitsilik), and I was thinking that I might have to take a trip up to BC next winter! We will see though!

    Cheerful Trails,

    Christian
