I have a question for everyone here. Has anyone ever heard of or noticed any problems related to dirt affecting sled dogs?

I know that most sled dogs usually can get quite "dusty" when out in a kennel run, but I didn't know if you have ever heard of the dirt ever effecting a dog's skin, etc...

Also, I know that with proper brushing, you can usually get most all of the dirt out of the dog's coat, but I was just curious as to whether dirt CAN affect them.

Any thoughts?
