Well, here goes....
I am Maggie Cole, from RedWing, Minnesota. I have been out of the mushing loop for a LONG time, but used to have a team of Siberians (and one stubborn Malamute!!) years and years ago when my oldest children were small. Life got crazy as a single mom with five kids, as as my dogs got older and passed I kind of slipped from the hobby. But the "fever" was always there, many times I regretted leaving one of the most interesting past times in my life!!! The kids and I werent competitive at all, our team was for recreation, and they were family dogs.
Now on the older side of 40, married, with only my youngest, age 14, left at home, I have decided to try and take up where I left off. I did leave a classifieds on the site. Basically I am wanting to start out slow, though if the right dogs came along I would take that chance in a heartbeat!! I work from home so have the time to spend with our dogs, currently three small breeds...definitely not the same, but I am a dog person and will always have canines of some kind in my life!! I am interested in mushing, ski joring, camping and hiking with the dogs.
