Hello everyone,

I just got a sled a few weeks ago. Its not new, but I think I got if for a steal. None the less, I am new to the sport so it doesnt really matter if its a good one or not. lol I see it being total'd by a tree in the future!

I have two purebreed, AKC reg, huskies. I am currently showing my boy (Armani) in AKC. My girl (Hailey) has been pulled from the ring. She was my first show dog, so she came with one too many faults for the ring.

Both are great dogs. My girl is almost 3yrs old. She is VERY smart...but not too friendly with other dogs. She has a very high prey drive and is always testing me and other people/dogs. Though, I must admit she is my fav...she listens very well and is rather quick when it comes to picking up tricks. My boy is 18mos old and full of energy. Hes not the smartest dog you will ever met but he is really sweet. I belive he will make one heck of a sled dog if his hips come around.

I have been working with dogs and altering behavoir issues for years. I have a lot to offer when it comes to curving bad habits and teaching people how to become the leader in their houses. However, like any trainer, I am still asking questions and picking up on new ideas. I know almost nothing about sledding so I have a ton of questions. I can not wait to read everyones insightful post/s.

As of right now, I only have one dog that can pull a sled. I might be able to get my sister to allow me to take her Sheba inu x Husky with me on runs. Can you run a sled with only two dogs? Or will it just be too much stress on them?

I will post some pictures of the two of them in the photo section later on :)

Thanks for reading this loong intro and I hope to pick up a ton of knowellge from everyone.
Shanna.
