I have a bitch who whelped her litter on Thursday, who continues to have very watery diarrhea. There is no sign of digested blood or placenta in her stool, just normal brown color, typical smelling poop, that you could squirt through the eye of a needle.

She is getting a total of 9 cups of Momentum, 3/4 lb lean moose meat (butcher trim I've been saving for her), probiotic and a dash of salmon oil equally divided into 3 meals each day.

Milk production is excellent, all 6 puppies seem to be thriving. Her coat is glossy and nice.

I've been giving her 1 Blue Heron capsule with each feeding for the past 2 days with no observable change in stool.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Does she still have diarrhea?

Maybe you are feeding her something that is too rich in her diet.

Things are well under control now. I was over feeding her. When I cut her food down to 6 C per day she firmed right up. I'll need to bump her back up in a week or so, but it won't be quite so high nor quite so quickly.

Thanks: Swanny
