Formal tiffany blue and chocolate brown July wedding

Monday, March 30th, 2009

What flowers would go well with a very formal tiffany blue and chocolate brown July wedding?

Im really looking for something elegant or unique. It is a big hall so I need centerpieces that will fill it out with the high ceilings and what not….your help is most appreciated.

Also, if u have any other ideas to go with this color scheme, PLEASE let me know or leave some pictures. I really like vintage type styles…if that helps.

One of the most elegant set of arrangements I have ever seen used, involved long, skinny crystal vases brimming with tall white lilies (featured flower) and willowy greenery spilling over the sides. You could tie the tall vases with thin, gauze ribbons highlighting your color scheme blue/brown.

The crystal vases were 18 to 24 inches high and filled space at eye level when guests are standing. Then when they are seated at the tables, guests can see to talk with each other, and table space is conserved.

You can continue the theme at cake tables or champagne/punch tables, and vary the height even more by stacking blocks of wood (or something stable) under the white tablecloths.

Or, you could use chocolate &/or blue small tablecloths (napkins) to cover blocks of wood on these tables and set your tall vase flowers at varying heights with birdseed bouquets or guest rememberences.

Tiffany blue and brown wedding in January?

Tiffany and co blue and brown wedding in January? Any unique ideas or pictures?

I am having a winter wedding with the tiffany jewelry blue and brown colors. I dont know what colors to put the wedding party in, or how to decorate the hall using both colors. What other accenting colors can we use? I want a simple but elegant look. Any comments, pictures, ideas?

We are using those colors Tiffany Rings, along with an ivory accent. It’s very common, so you won’t find any unique ideas. Here’s what we’re doing:

- Bridesmaids are in a brown lace dress with blue underlay. They’re from Target, but apparently they don’t sell it anymore. But they love it!
- Groomsmen are in chocolate brown suits with blue ties.
- All flowers are white: white rose bouquet, white tulip centerpieces, and accents of white lizzys.
- Invitations were ivory on top of chocolate brown cardstock and tied together with a blue ribbon. We mimicked that design in our table numbers
- Placecards are ivory. Favors are blue organza bags with candy in it.

Our venue is an art loft - lots of exposed brick and polished concrete floors, so we didn’t want to go overboard with too much color. Sorry, no pictures. I’m getting married Sunday, so I’ll know how it will all come together then!

Real tiffany lamps

Who makes real Tiffany and co lamps and is it still possible to get the real deal?

Tiffany Jewellery company went bankrupt and closed in 1932, and no longer exists. Yes, it’s possible to get real LC Tiffany lamps still on the antiques market. Be prepared to pay.

You can also buy or make pretty good copies of the old lamps Tiffany Co Bracelets, and modern designs that are “in the style of”. The glass should be mostly opal, and the construction should be copper foil.

One year, when I can devote the entire year to it, I’m going to make a wisteria lamp.

Buy a six prong tiffany style setting

Monday, March 30th, 2009

Where can I buy a six prong Tiffany and co style setting (only the setting) for a.3 ct diamond?

All of the tiffany jewelry stores that i have looked at are totally expensive.

Any good, reputable tiffany co jewelry should be able to provide you with that.
And, yes, it is expensive. Question, though…why would you want a six prong setting for a .3 ct diamond? Or, are you trying to say 3 carat? Six prongs seem a little much for a diamond less than 1/2 carat in size.
