I cherish 70s cult films. This one has always been my well-liked. It begins with the birth of Alucarda. From the very beginning, the girl is either damned or “special”, depending on your retract on things. She’s very shadowy and mysterious, and very dazzling. She meets up with Justine, a young, nubile, impressionable girl who is also fair in that wholesome, naive design. They have a weird relationship… they appreciate each other, they awe each other, they acquire naked together, there’s a hot group orgy in there somewhere… not to mention tons and tons of gratuitous nudity and blood and screaming generously sprinkled throughout the film. Juan Lopez Moctezuma + young, very naked girls + a demonic possession + lesbianism + blood, gore and murder+ sadistic sexual pleasures = a hell of a friendly movie! Any fair blue fan of low-budget “B” cult films will gather inflamed over this movie in more ways than one. I did.
