Let's just do what Alaskan_husky did. :) I have to think about it for a bit though...
A'right, in the top 5 to win, and in no particular order, I am going to go for: Lance Mackey, Martin Buser, Jeff King, Ed Iten (he's been doing good lately), and let's go with Dee Dee Jonrowe. Top five, but no particular order.
My favorite mushers are probably Jeff King, cause he's always inventing stuff, Martin Buser cause he seems like a nice guy (but that's from the Iditarod Insider videos that I find that), Rachael Scdoris cause she and her father are sort of my unofficial mentors, and that's who I got Ginger from, and they are letting me come up there again and help them get ready to leave for Alaska, not to mention it's way cool that she's doing Iditarod despite seeing very little. Danny Seavey was really nice when I emailed him about a school paper once, too. I don't really know about other Iditarod mushers...I haven't actually met more than a couple. :) Gotta love Gary Paulsen's books, though. :D
Aren't the Scdoris' nice!? I just met with them in Oregon, and they are both just really nice people. Really helpful too! And it's amazing that she does the Iditarod with her eyesight disability.
And Martin Buser, through all of my correspondences with him, is a really wonderful person as well! One of my mentors is pretty good friends with him, and all she can say about him is positive things. :) He is really helpful too, and willing to help out the mushing community.

I'm predicting that Karen Ramstead will suprise a lot of people and make it into the money this year (top 30).

You know, I was thinking the same thing about Karen this year too! I think she is going to have a really good year; and hopefully will break the Siberian record this year!

I always look for those guys and gals first thing in the morning or whenever I check for updates. I also always try to be there for their finishes. They're pretty cool and interesting mushers.
My all time favorite Iditarod mushers are:
1. Susan Butcher, my hero.
2. Jeff King, I loved watching him as a kid and I still do.
3. Joe Garnie, he's a role model for our native people.
4. Martin Buser, he's entertaining.
5. Dee Dee Jonrowe, she's amazing.
I've been watching those guys ever since I was a kid and it doesn't feel like Iditarod if they're not in it.
