Hi! My name is Caitlyn Johnson. I am 18 years old and live in Stanrdsville, Va (at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.) I currently own only one dog, an eleven month old Siberian Husky. I want to get into mushing but am extremely new to the sport. I have no experience at all. Unfortunately, there are no mushers around. So, I do all my learning via email and websites. My dream is to someday move to Alaska (I love the cold) and own a Siberian Husky Dog Sled Kennel. Right now I am looking for all the information I can get on the wonderful sport of mushing. As I said, I'm 18 and have no job. I currently stay at home all day with my dog (as Sibes need attention all the time.) I got my GED at age 17 due to the school environment. I couldn't stand being in a classroom all day and I didn't care too much for the influences. I hope to meet new people who are willing to share their experiences and help about mushing and I look forward to making new friends with a common interest.
