Hello everyone,
Guess I would swing by and introduce myself. I am located in the southeastern US, in the foothills of North Carolina. I run a small team of siberian huskies, and am not much more than a dryland junkie. I have been running dogs for about 4 years, but started out just bike-jorring with my first siberians, and it has evolved from there. We don't get much snow here, most years none at all, so I run only dryland. Snow is cool and all, but we like them dusty trails!
I usually run a 4 dog team, but this season I will be running a 6 dog team. I use a modifyed adult trike to run them on, untill i can get around to getting a rig. Lately I have been turned off by the slim amount of rig makers in the US that are within my budget, so I may get a local welder to make one.
I currently have a kennel of 10 siberians nestled in a valley. Majority of the dogs are those i have raised myself, but this spring i acquired my first two racing lined puppies, and they are going to be the start of my purely competitive kennel later on. I am currently a Public relations Agent for the Blueridge Dryland Mushers Sled Dog Club based out of Virginia, and attend their annual race every year. My long term goals as a breeder and southern musher are to start (or help construct) a mid-distance dryland race (more than 15 miles) in the SE part of the US, and to produce and run successful racing dogs.
Thanks for stopping by and checkin' us out!!

Hello Jessee,

Glad you could make it here to Sleddoggin.com!
I'm so very excited for all the input you'll undoubtedly bring to the forums - and hope you feel welcome here. It's great to have another dryland musher! Seeing the sport of mushing thrive in other states - is excellent!

As for your question of posting photos - we love photos here; but you can also post photos in the Photos section of Sleddoggin.com - to provide visitors a more "streamlined" location to find a filed bunch of photos. Feel free to check it out. It's rather easy to post - all you need is your forum account; which you will already be logged into.

Feel free to message me if you ever have any questions, thoughts, or comments.

Cheerful Trails,

Christian
