Has anyone checked out the Iditarod tracking feature yet for this year's race? It's so awesome!

Oh my gosh I loved that satellite tracking sooooo much! I was able to predict the winners because of that, but I though the Norway guy would be up there too...he finished 9th. It was fun predicting what time they'd be arriving into checkpoints, I did all the calculations and I was so darn close that I really felt like I was too much of an Iditarod fan freak lol. I knew Buser blew his chance to become rookie of the year when he went on past Takotna not taking his 24, I told my sister that he's ahead but he just wasted a bunch of time going on like that. I put Owens up there in the spot but that other guy had a better dog team I guess and more experienced. I can't wait till next year!! I hope they put that stuff onto everyone's sled :biggrin wasn't it funny what Martin did? hahaha I was laughing hysterically when I heard the news, I was wondering what on earth was going on...he put it on a plane lol. Silly guy. I'm glad they had that, it made the Iditarod so much more fun for us fans :biggrin

Martin Buser is hilarious. He's also very kind. It was no problem for him to do an interview for Sleddoggin, as he's very generous to give back to the community.
I think Kjetil Backen made everyone a bit nervous this last Iditarod. After watching his interviews it sounded like he would try and win if he had the chance BUT he wanted to make this Iditarod fun for the younger dogs he was training - and not push them too hard. Team Norway always comes out with a good team each year though.
