I've been on and off the forum for a while, but never introduced myself. My name is Karen Ramstead and I run NorthWapiti Kennels in Alberta, Canada.
We have over 60 purebred Siberian Huskies - a number of them Champion showdogs.
I have competed in a number of mid and long distance races over the years - including Iditarod, John Beargrease Marathon, Race to the Sky, Klondike 300, Knik 200, Copper Basin, Taiga 300, and Grand Portage Passage.

I just placed an ad for Kennel Help in the Classified section. I know there are a number of young sled dog enthusiats on this list and this could be a very educational way for a beginning musher to spend their summer - although you would need to be old enough to lift buckets and such!! :)
