Warning! This is a rant!

As some of you may have read I show dogs. One of my roommates will handle dogs and the dogs will stay at the house the week of the show.

SO we have a pom puppy here, learning the ropes, hes only 4mos. He is in the front yard, in an X-pen and he gets stolen!!! And by who? Oh just the people who live right next door to us!!!!

I assumed it was them when i got the call at work. I rushed home to help look for this little dog. I knew he couldnt have gotten far if he got out. But the people next door where outside when he was missing and then one of them left right away...these are the same ppl who have been trying to get a dog from us for two years. We wont give them a dog....it is an unstable place. They had two dogs last summer but 'lost' them.

The house next door has a mentally chanlleged adult. His parents died so the house is his. He can not handle the house mental or physically. So his uncle and his wife come to see him, pick him up and then brings him back to stay with the aids. There are about 3 of them. All of which have also come around asking for/about a dog.

So they where asked THREE times! Till I finally said we need to get flyers out and offer money for his return. We went over and told them this. That we would give them $500 to who ever 'found' the puppy...It wasnt lost...just stolen by them.

We get a phone call from them, saying they know where the puppy is and they want the money. Then a vet calls us (This is HOURS after he has been taken) who is over an hour away, to say he has the puppy and wont give it back to the person who brought it in. Luckly the pup was micorochipped and the chip read that he was stolen. The vet went through the breeder, owner (who had to read him the chip number to prove he was hers) and then get the okay for us to take the dog. What a great vet! We had told them he had medically issues...so I am sure that is the only reason they took it to a vet. The person who had it wanted the money as did the aid who stole the dog. They wanted the $500 split between them!!

As we got the dog back from the vet the girl ask "Do you know of an good pom breeders?" WTF!

The people who live next door came to collect thier 250. At that time My roommates where at the cops who told them NOT to give anymore money. So I told them they where talking to the cops and they could talk to them when they got back. They came back...and the ppl next door are not as brave...they just peek around the edge of the house to look at us. The cops will be out to talk to them tonight or tomorrow.

We are over on the dog limit. The city doesnt care unless they start to get calls about it....We are afriad the people next door would call everyday and just make up stuff till we get fined and have to place all but 3 dogs....so we are taking extra steps to make sure everything is quiet and no one can get into the house with out fource. They also seem like the time who will try to trash the house or our cars. If we get

What makes people think they can get away with stealing dogs?! How immoral can they be?! I cant even believe we got the dog back....now im just afriad of what the after math may be.
