February 25, 2009; 1800 AKST (Fairbanks, Alaska) - Kyla Boivin scratched today near the base of Eagle Summit on Steese Highway. Boivin attempted to climb the summit but turned back when her dogs were unable to make the ascent.
Boivin is the eighth musher to scratch from the 2009 Yukon Quest.
