What is the Boy Scouts of America and Merit Badges?

The Boy Scouts of America is an organization that provides a program to help develop youth that are physically, mentally, and emotionally fit. Through this special program many new activities are experienced and learned; through which participation and involvement are measured with merit badges. These merit badge awards are a special way of showing achievement for completing a selected amount of requirements for an activity or topic.
