Insufficient Training: Survive Your Performance Review With LMS Training

Posted on October 14th, 2010 in Uncategorized by iptools  Tagged , , ,

Every employee has worked, at least once, in a situation where there was not enough training provided by the company. We have also tried working with people who have experienced a lack of training, and have even been served by individuals in other establishments who have obviously had unsatisfactory training.

However, the salespersons are not the only ones who need to be given sufficient training. While they are usually the most visible arm of the company, there are also managers and supervisors who are very ineffective with their jobs. . The primary reason why some companies do not provide employee training is to cut on the costs that training demands.

A company might provide training, but they will try to make it as minimal as possible in order to avoid having to spend so much. Although not providing training for employees saves the company some money at the beginning, in the long run the company will end up spending more than what most employee trainings would cost. The company will be spending a lot more to compensate for every mistake of every employee as well as for every unsuccessful sale from an unsatisfied customer.

Given today’s increasing competition among businesses in every industry, a lack of training or giving an insufficient one can spell the difference between keeping success and diving into ultimate failure. Not only that, a company who does not provide proper employee training will find it hard to find competent employees to promote and handle more challenging tasks.

But the problem does not stop there. When an employee is not trained properly, there will be a gap in terms of the actual skills that the employee has and the necessary skills that are required to fulfill his or her job.

Insufficient training leads to decreased productivity, increased errors, and low employee morale. Thus, it is clearly worth the company’s while to take a firm effort into training their employees in order to make them competent and confident in doing their jobs. When a company provides its employees proper training, they will make their employees happier in doing their jobs as well as inspire significant improvements at the bottom line.

When your performance review revealed some lapses on your part, perhaps it is best if you look back into the kind and the quality of LMS training that you had right after you joined the company. If you feel that the lack of training has a great contribution on the discrepancies in your performance, tell the management about it and ask for extra courses that will help you improve. This proactive step will not only let help you do your job better, it will also give the impression to your boss that you are dedicated to your job.

Social Media Training

If you are a direct marketer for a company like Discovery Toys, 7 Peaks Publishing Social Media Training Course can help you generate more sales and grow your business!

Two emotions are at the base of all human actions. In other words, there are only two emotions that motivate all things that humans do. The feelings are fear and desire. People either take action because they DESIRE something – monetary welath, love, fulfillment, respect, peace, power, etc. Or they might do them because they FEAR losing something important or valuable that they already have – monetary wealth, a relationship, fulfillment, respect, peace, power, etc. It sounds too all-encompassing, but if you ponder it, pretty much all actions do actually circle around those two fundamental feelings.

So… if you want your Tweets to get credence, it makes sense to keep these powerful motivators in mind. That is the “secret” to forming effective tweets. The following are three examples of Tweet Formulas that ping these feelings in people:

1. The “Other Guy Knows a Secret That You Should Get” Formula: This is extremely useful when this “other guy” is a well-known person. It’s very enticing to many people to learn how to do, be, or acquire what a celebrity has. Learn much, much more about manipulating social media right now through our Social Media Training Courses.

Tweet Formula: How (important person’s name) (does something) and you can, too.

Sample Tweet: How Jennifer Aniston loses excess fat while eating whatever she wants… and how you can, too.

Sample Tweet: How Donald Trump creates wealth while playing golf… and how you can, too.

2. The “Your Problems are Being Instigated by Someone or Something Else Not Known By You” Formula: Everyone fears the idea of a person or something unbeknownst to us creating dilemmas for us.

Tweet Formula: Is/Are _________ causing you to become sick?

Sample Tweet: Is your cat causing you to fall ill?

Sample Tweet: Is your job making you overweight?

3. The “What You Need to Find Out Right Now” Formula. People do not like being caught off guard or being embarrassed.

Tweet Formula: ______ questions to ask your ______ before it becomes too late.

Sample Tweet: 6 things to ask your tax preparer… before it’s too late.

Sample Tweet: 7 things to ask your child… before it is too late.

So, you get the jist. Understand psychology when you’re tweeting. Appeal to simple base human emotions, specifically fear and desire, and you will get a lot more attention and reaction to your Tweets – and successfully do whatever you desire to do with Twitter.

Coach Your Team to Success

Many people in affiliate programs seem to think that once the sale is made, their work is done. Remember, as an Affiliate, your success is dependent upon your downline’s success. The initial sale is not the end of your involvement, rather it is the beginning of a longer process of coaching and team-building.

People joining affiliate programs tend to have big goals, but sometimes they fail anyway.

Reasons Why People Fail to Become Successful Affiliates:

There are three main reasons why people fail to adapt to change, especially technological change:

  1. Lack of Skills
  2. Lack of Knowledge
  3. Fear

Adopt the “Coach” Role & Mindset:

If you adopt the mindset of a “Coach,” you can dramatically improve your Downline’s performance along all three lines.

When someone joins an affiliate program there is generally a fairly big learning curve to overcome - new product(s) such as the just-released MaxPro System, new technology, and virtual relationships, all of which are especially problematic if your new recruit is a novice in the world of internet marketing (or marketing in general). Internet marketing, like any industry, has its own set of jargon, and the affiliate program will have its own set of tools and techniques to master.

All of this takes time and can be very frustrating to new recruits, if left to their own devices. If you allow your new recruits to become overly frustrated, they are likely to drop out and never become productive team members.

Wouldn’t you be a lot better off to spend a little time with your new Downline members helping them to get off to a good start. Take the initiative to help your recruits learn about your products, technical support and other resources available to them.

You’ll also need to spend time helping them learn how to market in this new Web 2.0 world of internet Blogs and Social Communities, which are new to many people.

Don’t just sit around waiting for your downline to contact you for help, take the initiative and offer them help, especially at the beginning of your relationship with them. Take the initiative to help your new recruits overcome their fear and buyer’s remorse.

If you have a positive attitude and a desire to help your new recruits learn the business, you can coach coupled with proactive behaviors on your part. When you invest in your downline, they’ll repay that investment many times over.

One superb place to start for picking up all the rest of the knowledge about internet marketing that they’ll need is to have them join the Online Success for Beginners classes.
