I never could wait until Thanksgiving. That’s when they always showed this movie on TV, but unfortunetly they stopped doing that a few years ago. Then when I saw that Amazon.com had it I immediatley bought it!! Steve Martin and Diane Keaton obtain a dynamic duo on the mask. Oh..and Martin Short..He was hilarious in this movie. This one led perfectly from the first one to the second one smoothly. I hope they create a third one! If you’ve never seen this movie you don’t know what you’re missing!
This movie is a unbelievable celebration of life, care for, and family. It reminds the viewer of the importance of the “simple things” that mean the most to us. Steve Martin sums up the essence of the movie when he is speaking to a doctor on behalf of his daughter and his wife. He simply states, “Doctor, these women are my life.” She understands. The viewer understands. I’ve probably watched the film a dozen times and it never gets customary. I thought to peep it at least 2 dozen more times…especially when life gets tough and I need a reminder about the “beneficial stuff” it has to offer! Thank you!
