Decent extended feeding solution.
I use these on my tomatoes and hot peppers with good success. These spikes should also work well for any kind of fruiting vegetable.

The spikes last for 8 weeks at a time, and provides a nice, steady slow release fertilizer. This makes for very convenient gardening.

For tomatoes I use them at half the recommended rate, and supplement with potassium and magnesium rich fertilizers (epsom salt, greensand, wood ash, miracle-gro for tomatoes).

For hot peppers I use them at 1/3 the recommended rate and a small amount of epsom salt (these plants don’t need much fertilizer, but are somewhat magnesium hungry).

My crops on both kinds of plants are great, and I’m quite happy with these. I only wish they had a low-nitrogen spike with more potassium in it for tomatoes (ie: 2-6-7, instead of 2-7-4)

Great for your small yard!
Nearly every homeowner in my immediate area (where the lawns average less than 1/4 acre) possesses a giant, smelly, noisy gas powered mower. Surely a better way existed, but what to do? A reel mower, one state-of-the-art, simple to operate and quiet fills the bill. This product is easy to assemble (lawn cutting out of the box within 20 minutes), easy to use (I let my seven-year-old son push it around with supervision for a few minutes) and very effective on our small yard. Furthermore, the slippery handle grips mentioned above were neither easy to put on (unless lubricated with a bit of soapy water) or easily removed. If you have a small, relatively flat yard - you can’t go wrong. The unit is quite maneuverable and generates about as much noise as roller-blade skates.

No more gas!
I bought the Great States model 1415-16 mower from Amazon two years ago. The same company makes the Great States, American, and Scotts brands… You can’t buy directly from Great States/American and Amazon has the best selection. From what I’ve read and experienced, buy the lightest mower with at least five blades. I’ll tell you this. These aren’t your father’s reel mowers. Today’s reel mowers are state-of-the-art. Once you buy one of these, you’ll never go back to gas. The one I have can compete with any of the “best” gas-driven mowers on my street. It’s easy to push, more gentle on the grass, and doesn’t pollute. Best of all? No starting. No gas. No maintenance. I haven’t had to sharpen the blades yet. This is one item I can recommend without reservation.

A Safe & Healthy Way to Cut Grass
I’ve used one of these lawnmowers for years in Virginia, Michigan, Indiana, and now Minnesota. Unless you’ve got a very large yard (in which case I’d recommend you plant something more interesting than grass!) or let your grass grow very tall, these work well. They are far safer than gasoline and electric lawnmowers. If you hit a stick or rock with this type, the blades just stop! Neighborhood kids will be so surprised to see one of these that they often offer to cut part of the yard just to try it out. I’ll never go back to a huge, noisy, stinkin’ gas mower. When I’m done cutting the grass, I just hang the mower on a hook on the garage wall. No plugs, no oil, no gas. It doesn’t get better than this.

Magnifiers, heads up for eyes
These are by far the most comfortable and adjustable of the headband type magnifiers available. The fit and function is as promised and the added surprise is the leather type feeling to the parts that touch your head. The circular tightening knob in the back just works correctly, and is engineered for comfort. You can and will want to adjust any headband during use and this knob makes wearing these a pleasure. When you position the viewer for close work you can strill see under if you wish or just use your wrist and push the whole assembly up to clear your vision in order to find a tool or such. Lenses are plastic and you need to take care with them. If you care about your tools you will take care of this wonderful magnifier.

Second pair of eyes
I found the product to be as advertised and good for working on fine details such a model railroad, electronics, hobby craft, jewelry where minute detail is required of extremely small objects. They work well with my prescription lens and when I don’t wear my glasses. There are three sets of lens of various magnification depending on what you are doing. I wish I had bought these ten years ago.

This is the old B&L
I was a bit hesitant when I ordered this magnifier, because the name Bausch & Lomb has lost some of its luster over the years. If this item is a sign of things to come, then B&L is on the mend.

The quality level is very high, and much beyond what I expected for the price. If I were to lose the one I bought, I would order another without hesitation and without even shopping for any other visor Mangifier first.
